An ExpressCard slot enables operation of an ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard/54.
A PC card slot enables the notebook to operate one type I or type II PC card.
Please read the documentation on the PC card and/or on the ExpressCard
and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Never use force when installing or removing a PC card or an ExpressCard.
The ExpressCard slot and the PC card slot can be protected with placeholders,
which you must remove before using the slots.
Keep the placeholder in a safe place. When you remove the PC card or
ExpressCard you should also re
fi
t the placeholder in the empty slot. This
prevents foreign matter from getting into the slot.
Please see the documentation relating to the card for driver installation instructions.
You should also read the help
fi
les on the supplied CD, the information provided
with the drivers for the card, or the information provided with the operating system
(e. g.
Help and Support Center
in Windows XP).
