Inserting or removing a CD
The notebook must be switched on.

Ê
Push the insert/eject button (1).
The CD tray will open.
Ê
Pull the CD tray completely out.
Ê
Place the CD in the CD tray with the labeled side facing upwards, and carefully push the CD
into the mount or remove an inserted CD.
Ê
Push the CD tray in until you feel it locking into place (2).
Manual removal (emergency removal)
In the event of a power failure or damage to the drive it may be necessary to manually remove the
CD.
Ê
Switch off the notebook.
Ê
Push a piece of wire (such as a paper clip)
into the opening for manual ejection.
The CD tray is unlocked. You can now pull it out
of the drive.
PC Cards
A PC card slot (CardBus or PCMCIA) enables the notebook to operate one type II PC card or one
type III PC card.

The PC card must not consume more than 600mA (at +5V) or 60mA (at +12V).
Consult the documentation supplied by the PC card's manufacturer and follow the
instructions provided.
Never use force when inserting or removing a PC card.
Make sure that foreign objects do not fall into the PC card slot.
