MANUAL FOR REPLACING THE CLEAVER BLADE
CB-08
Please read this instruction manual carefully before replacing the cleaver blade
CB-08. Adhere to all safety instructions and warnings contained in this manual.
1. Warnings and Cautions
WARNING: There is a possibility of death, serious injury, or
equipment damage resulting from improper use by
ignoring this documentation.
Safety glasses should always be worn during fiber preparation and cleaving
operation.
Fiber fragments can be extremely dangerous if they come into contact with
your eyes or skin.
CAUTION: There is a possibility of personal injury or equipment
damage resulting from improper use by ignoring this
documentation.
Do not grinding or modify the blade.
This cleaver is designed for cleaving the glass optical fibers used in
telecommunication. Do not attempt to cleave any other material.
Cleaver blade is extremely sharp. Do not touch as personal injury may
result.
Take care not to place fingers in the blade during operation.
Never leave the cleaver exposed to water, for example, from rain or
moisture.

3. Cleaver Blade Replacement
1. If the AD-50 is attached, detach it from the cleaver body.
2. Rotate the Blade Height Dial(1) to position ”1”.
3. Adjust to Blade Positon “1” with Blade Rotating Dial, using the Rotate button or a
smartphone.
4. Remove the Fiber Scrap Box(FDB-05).
5. Loosen the 2 screws(3) and remove the Fiber Scrap Collector(4) from the body.
6. Lift the Lever of the cleaver until it stops. Confirm the Blade is set at the start
position.
7. Loosen the 2 screws and open the Arm Cover(5). Then lift the bottom arm of the
Clamp Arm(6) until it stops.
NOTE: Do not close the Lever during the blade replacement.
Be careful not to injure your fingers during blade replacement.
8. Lay the small board(7) and then loosen the screw located at the center of the blade.
Then remove the Blade Rotary Wheel(BRW)(8) from the cleaver body.
NOTE: Do not force the small board(7).
