10. FTCAN 2.0 protocol
FTSPARK has an advanced diagnosis system
for malfunctions, faults and problems. This helps
a lot to diagnose and monitor the functions of
your ignition system. When used in conjunction
with a FuelTech PowerFT series ECU (FT450
or higher), this programming is already built
in your ECU and no additional programming
is required to receive and interpret all the
information. When using FTSPARK together
with other aftermarket ECU’s or data acquisition
systems that have a CAN communication port
and can be programmed, it’s still possible to
have access to all of that data in order to use
the benefits of the FTSPARK to its fullest.
