The assemblies on ISARIA
®
are large and partly bulky. A minimum of two persons are required for
safe assembly and to avoid material damage.
3.1
Attaching the device to a vehicle
Fit the corresponding attachment console according to the selected attachment variant.
The vehicle driver is obliged to comply with all regulations and guidelines required for participating
in traffic. The following recommendations have been taken from the respective official texts but must
not be considered as completely described. If in doubt, please contact us or any specialists. We will
be happy to help you.
To participate in traffic safely and according to the regulations, please ensure that the vehicle
lighting is not blocked by ISARIA
®
. If applicable, take suitable measures, such as separate vehicle
lighting.
Extract from the leaflet for attachment devices:
- Attachment devices protruding more than 400 mm beyond the illuminated surfaces of the marker
or tail lights must be fitted with marker lights, tail lights and reflectors (Art. 53b Sec. 1 StVZO
(German Highway Code)).
- [..] and must be marked towards the front and back [...] using parking warning plates, foils or
plates in compliance with DIN 11030, edition dated September 1994.
Risks from obstructed vision during driving and participating in traffic
In certain circumstances ISARIA
®
may protrude into the driver's field of vision when fitted to the front
of the vehicle. Choose the attachment of the unit so that any obstruction of view is avoided (Art. 35b
StVZO (German Highway Code)).
If the distance (94) between the centre of the steering wheel and the front edge of ISARIA
®
(92)
exceeds 3.5m, it is required to have a second person present to safely manoeuvre at junctions and
intersections.
Choose the attachment height of ISARIA
®
so that there is no obstruction of view in the driver's
semicircular field of view. The vehicle driver must have unobstructed view to the even road surface
at a distance of 12m (93) from the driver's eyes.
