6. In order to use the
holder (3) to attach the
utility to the A-22
ECONOMY model, you
must remove the mi-
crometric screw (1). To
remove this screw,
loosen the two screws
(2).
7. Attach the holder (3)
onto the measuring cell
holder.
8. Insert the photo mask
(4) into the recess.
9.
ATTENTION!
Prior to proceeding, clean photo mask
with a special lens cleaning tissue.
10. Move photo mask to position 228 mm.
11. At its centre, the photo mask (4) is equipped with a dot
consisting of chrome particles of various size.
12. Fine-adjust the laser beam. Move the photo mask (4)
along the guide until none of the particles is hit by the
laser beam. Complete beam adjustment (see software
manual).
13. Close the cover of the instrument
(Plexiglas cover stays open) and
start a background measurement.
ATTENTION! LASER RADIATION!
14. Add sample (see software manual). The photo mask (4)
is manually repositioned until the laser beam hits the
particles. As soon as maximum adsorption is achieve,
do not move the photo mask.
15. Start measurement.
16. The minimum/maximum values are listed in the soft-
ware manual.
17. If the measurement results are alright, the measuring
cell has to be removed and afterwards the bridging
magnet has to be removed.
