The hoses must be inserted below the acrylic glass cover.
To close the housing cover, ensure that the two hoses are
properly placed in the respective recesses in the cover.
Secure hoses with hose clamps.
The sample liquid flows upwards through the cell.
The hoses inside the measuring unit must be installed in
such a way that
the movement of the measuring cell is not obstructed
the hoses are not within the range of the laser beam
the hoses are not kinked.
Prior to fasting the hose clamps, shorten hoses or rotate
them until they are properly positioned inside the device.
The in "IN" (3) adapter at the dispersing unit is used to fill
the measuring device and must be connected to distilled
water line or a tank containing the sample liquid.
The "OUT" (4) adapter is used to drain the sample or rins-
ing liquid.
Caution: maximum permitted pressure in device: 0.5
bar!
5.2.1 Filling of measuring cell for operation
with dispersing unit for small samples
The dispersing unit for small samples must be manually
filled and emptied.
Turn valve level to position "Drain/Fill". If the supply line is
opened, fresh suspension liquid is filled into the glass con-
tainer through the hose connected to the "IN" adapter. If
the pump is switched off, the level of the liquid rises.
