INSTALLING THE 
INTERFACE MODULE AND 
SMOKE ALARM 

The Interface Module is mounted 
inside the Smoke Alarm mounting 
base. 

 

1)  Using the base as a template, 

mark the position of the two 
fixing holes on the ceiling. 

2)  Drill two 5mm holes and fit the 

wall plugs. 

3)  Fix the base to the ceiling with 

the screws supplied. Do not over-
tighten the fixing screws. 

4)  Fit the Interface Module to its 

rear cover and snap together. 

Ensure that the connection 
cable is correctly located in the 
cable entry recess and is not 
trapped between the front and 
rear cover. 

5)  Fix the Interface Module into 

t h e   m o u n t i n g   b a s e   i n   t h e  
position shown below using the 
adhesive pads supplied. 

Important: 

Ensure that the 

release slot is not positioned 
against the side wall of the 
base.
