Switching on the water heater
Before switching on the water heater, check that the electrical installation has
been correctly performed and that the water container has been filled with
water. The water heater has an adjustment thermostat that automatically
governs the temperature of the water.
NOTE: The indicator lamp only lights up during the heating phase.
Dripping from the safety valve is completely normal during the
heating phase. Hot water has a greater volume than cold water and cannot be
compressed. If the piping system is not is a condition to absorb this increased
volume, then the safety valve opens and discharges the excess water, this prevents
unacceptable pressures from building up in the tank.
Temperature adjustment
It is possible to adjust the thermostat. To change the setting turn the knob at the
bottom of the water heater. Turn the thermostat knob towards ”+” to increase, or
towards ”-” to decrease, the temperature.
IMPORTANT: It is not recommended to adjust the thermostat below maximum
temperature (60 °C).
Below 60 °C, harmful bacteria can be formed, for example. legionella.
NOTE! Energy is not saved by adjusting the temperature of the water
downwards. A high hot water temperature makes for greater quantities of hot
bath water in relation to lower hot water temperatures when being mixed with
cold water.
