8. PERIODS OF MACHINE INACTIVITY
If the fan is to be out of service and inactive for extended periods
of time, it must be protected from humidity and the elements.
Disconnect the fan from the power supply.
Ensure that the air intake opening is sealed or, alternatively, use the
insulating cover (option WPC) available on request.
9. DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL
Any demolition of the machine must be entrusted to specialised
personnel who are trained for this purpose.
CAUTION
Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used during
uninstallation and demolition of the machine.
Strictly observe the same instructions and recommendations laid
out in this manual in the installation section.
When demolishing the machine, special attention must be paid to
the disposal of the various components that constitute the machine.
When disposing of the machine, observe the varying disposal
procedures required for each material in the country of installation.
The materials used in the construction of the machine are mainly
metal alloys for the structural parts, and an electric motor.
The machine does not contain materials that must be treated as
special waste. For scrapping, however, the materials that constitute
the machine must be disposed of separately at designated collection
facilities.
For most of the bulk metal, separation of steel from other metals
and alloys is sufficient for recycling by melting.
When disposing of the electric motor, follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
