Ventilation
Adequate ventilation must be provided for the condenser unit.
Air Flow
Requirements
If the condenser is in an
enclosed space, grills
must be provided to allow
cool air to enter and
warm air to exit.
It is not sufficient to
provide just one or two
grills, as the air will tend
to re-circulate within the
enclosure, resulting in
poor refrigeration
performance.
Air Duct
A duct must be
constructed to separate
the inlet side of the
condenser radiator from
the exhausted warm air.
This will prevent internal
re-circulation of warm air.
Access
Access to the back of the cabinet is required for loading, cleaning, re-positioning
of shelves and operation of the control panel. Access to the condensate
drainage tray is also required, (see above).
