ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR TILE CUTTERS
1.
DO NOT USE
the tile cutter until it is completely assembled or installed according to the instructions of this
manual.
2.
ALWAYS USE
disc protection to “cut completely”. This expression means that the piece is cut completely
along is whole thickness.
3.
ALWAYS PRESS
the piece firmly to the 45° support or to the fence.
4.
ALWAYS USE
a push-stick to cut small pieces. Never cut pieces that can't be blocked firmly.
5.
NEVER WORK
freehand. Always use the 45° support or rip fence to place and guide the workpiece.
6.
DO NOT PLACE YOURSELF
along cutting disc axis.
KEEP
your hands far from cutting disc trajectory.
7.
NEVER PLACE
you hands behind or over the cutting disc, and avoid uncomfortable positions of your
hands and body.
8.
ALWAYS MOVE
the piece against the cutting disc or tool.
9.
NEVER TRY
to release the cutting disc before the tool is still. If you need to stop cutting, push OFF button
of the switch and wait until the cutting disc is still. Intervene only when the cutting disc is still and without
power supply.
10.
AVOID
removing the jammed pieces between the cutting disc and the insert if the cutting disc is moving.
Switch off the machine and wait until the cutting disc is still, then intervene.
11.
PLACE
on tripods or supports the ends of big pieces that stick out laterally or behind the tile cutter; make
sure that the material to be cut is stable, in order to avoid it falling down at the end of the cut.
12.
AVOID
violent kickbacks (the workpiece is thrown to the operator):
by always using a correctly sharpened cutting disc;
by checking the parallelism between the fence and the cutting disc;
by always using cutting disc protection;
by not releasing the workpiece unitl it is completely cut;
by avoiding bent or deformed pieces which have not a straight side which allows to move them forward
evenly along the fence.
13.
NEVER
use thinners to clean plastic parts. Thinners can melt or damage the material. Only use a damp
cloth to clean plastic parts.
14.
ALWAYS USE
the tile cutter in a well ventilated environment.
15.
DO NOT USE
damaged or deformed cutting discs.
16.
ONLY USE
cutting discs recommended by the manufacturer, compliant to what is indicated in this manual.
17.
USE
cutting discs suitable for the material to be cut. During cutting disc replacement, check that outer
diameter and bore diameter are correct, use suitable gloves when handling cutting discs or raw materials.
18.
USE
this tile cutter only to cut tiles.
19.
REGULARLY CHECK
if the supply cable is damaged, in that case get it repaired by an authorised after-
sales centre. Check regularly the extension cables and replace them if they are damaged.
20.
CONNECT
and
USE
earmuffs and dust mask.
21.
MAKE SURE
that water tank is always full, in order to cool down the cutting disc during tile cutting.
22.
NEVER TRY
to stop the cutting disc by exerting a lateral pressure on it.
23. When switching the tile cutter on
CHECK
that the cutting disc is not in contact with the material to be cut.
Do not start cutting until the cutting disc has reached its maximum speed.
24. Before starting to cut,
CHECK
if the pump is in good conditions. If the pump is damaged, you must not use
the machine.
25.
MAKE SURE
that the pump is not running dry.
26.
NEVER LIFT
the pump from the electrical cable, but only from the housing..
