6.1 Commissioning the Ethernet Interface
For communication via the Ethernet interface, fos4X recommends the use of the
fos4X C API. See fos4X C API documentation.
6.2 Commissioning the CAN Interface
Conditions:
■ Planned Node ID for the Blackbird OECD available.
Commissioning the CAN Interface
1. Open the web-interface. See Opening the Web Interface., page 60
The web interface is displayed.
2. Click on SETTINGS.
3. fos4X recommends: Set a password. See Set or change the password.,
page 57 .
4. fos4X recommends: Set a system name and location. See Settings, page 34 .
5. Set a CANopen Node ID (factory setting: 4)
6. Set the CANopen data rate to the data rate of the CAN bus (factory setting: 500).

6.3 Set or change the password.
Setting or changing the password:
1. Open the web-interface. See Opening the Web Interface., page 60 .
2. If a password is set: Log in to the web interface.
3. Open the page SETTINGS.
4. Click on SYSTEM PASSWORD.
