Register Rail
Hold-Down Bars
Ball Cage
On the roller table, the sheets are transported to the next
fold unit by means of rollers which are positioned at an
angle with respect to the register rail. When changing
the format, set the register rail as follows:

Loosen the handle (1) by turning it counter-
clockwise.
Ł
Set the register rail (2) according to paper size
with the help of the scale (3).
Ł
Tighten the handle (1) by turning it clockwise.
The infeed angle can be adjusted at the knurled screw
(4) with the appropriate locating screw (5) and scale
(6).

Hold-down bars (7, 8) prevent the sheets from jumping
up during transport across the roller table.

Loosen the knurled screws (9).
Ł
Move the outer hold-down bar (7) in such a way
that it is located over the outer edge of the sheet.
Ł
Distribute the other hold-down bars over the
width of the sheet.

By loosening knurled screws (10) the hold-downs can be extended for
additional guiding.
Load the ball cage (11) with plastic or steel balls.
Type and number of balls depend on the format
and type of paper.

A minimum number of balls should always
be used. Balls not needed for a particular
job should be removed to reduce belt wear.
It is recommended to use the following balls:
Paper grades below 60 GSM:
Plastic balls
Paper grades from 60 - 150 GSM: Plastic balls, every 6th should be a steel ball
Paper grades above 150 GSM:
Mainly steel balls
