CHAPTER 4

Configuring the Module

This chapter contains information on using FORE Stack View (FSV) to configure
the ATM Module. Information on mapping between virtual LANs (VLANs) and
ATM emulated LANs (ELANs) is also included.

This chapter is organized into the following sections:

• Section 4.1 -  Default Settings
• Section 4.2 -  Configuring the Port
• Section 4.3 -  VLAN/ELAN Mapping
• Section 4.4 -  Monitoring the ATM Module

NOTE

4.1 Default Settings

Once installation and cabling is complete, and the switch has started successfully,
the ATM Module uses the following default settings:

• SONET framing
• Internal timing
• Unassigned cell insertion
• LECS automatically discovered
• Stack  mode
• Spanning Tree per VLAN disabled
