Before Getting In
l
Be sure the windows, outside mirrors,
and outside lights are clean.
l
Inspect inflation pressures and
condition of tyres.
l
Look under the vehicle for any sign of
fluid leaks.
l
If you plan to back up, make sure
nothing is in your way.
NOTE
Engine oil, engine coolant, brake/clutch
fluid, washer fluid, and other fluid
levels should be inspected daily,
weekly, or at refuelling, depending on
the fluid. See Maintenance, Section 8.
After Getting In
l
Are all doors closed and locked?
l
Is the seat adjusted properly?
l
Are the inside and outside mirrors
adjusted?
l
Is the steering wheel adjusted properly?
l
Is everyone's seat belt fastened?
l
Check all gauges.
l
Check all warning lights when the
ignition switch is turned to the ON
position.
l
Release the parking brake and make
sure the brake warning light goes off.
Always be thoroughly familiar with your
Ford.
