4.3 Press and hold the start button and adjust the size of the flame (2) using the regulating
knob. The flame goes out immediately when you release the start button – quickly and
conveniently.
4.4 The start button of the Power-Spot is provided with a lock to set the flame (7). When the
start button is pressed, you can set it by laterally moving the locking lever (7) (fig.4). Press the
start button again to trigger the lock.
4.5 Power-Spot is fitted with a special valve as an additional safety device that only opens the
gas valve when a burner is already installed. This prevents gas escaping unnecessarily.
4.6 Use the Power-Spot for overhead work. The Power-Spot is fitted with an anti-flicker system
that prevents the flame from uncontrolled flickering and ensures that it is stable.
4.7 Ensure that the valve of the Power-Spot is closed after use.
(Close the regulating knob clockwise up to the stop position).
5. CHANGING THE GAS CARTRIDGE
5.1 Completely close the unit valve (2). Ensure that the flame is completely out, the burner has
cooled down and no other ignition sources are in the vicinity. Take the unit outside and away
from people. Unscrew the cartridge from the unit and replace the defective or worn-out seal if
necessary. Carefully screw the unit valve on the gas cartridge. Ensure that the screw thread
is not in a crooked position. Tighten the screw thread by hand. The screw thread of the unit or
the bottle valve may be damaged if you tighten it too much. More information about this is in
section 4.
6. REGULAR CHECK
6.1 Always make sure that the unit seal (1) is correctly positioned and in good condition. Check
this every time you use the unit.
Replace the seal if it is damaged or worn out.
6.2 You can get new seals from your dealer.
7. SERVICE AND REPAIR
7.1 Do not try to make any other repairs than those described here.
7.2 Do not modify the unit or it will become unsafe.
7.3 Setting screw for piezo ignition (8). This screw is located on the start button (6).
It controls the gas flow depending on the ignition. The gas flow is correctly set at the factory
and normally does not have to be changed. However, if you need to adjust the gas quantity, put
a burner in the Power-Spot and open the gas valve (2). Turn the adjustment screw to the right
until gas flows out of the burner. Ignite the burner.
This now burns without having to hold down the button. Turn the adjustment screw back to the
left again until the flame goes out. After the flame is out, turn the screw a little more to the left.
Ignition is now correctly set.
Use a 1.5mm Allen key to adjust the gas quantity.
8. SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
8.1 Only use original Förch spare parts. Be careful when installing spare parts and accessories.
Avoid touching hot parts.
8.2 Only use original Förch gas cartridges for this unit.
