Note:
If the connection is lost or the transmitter is temporarily disconnected, X540Ri automatically tries to restore the connection.
Music playback
Start music playback on the Bluetooth
®
source which is paired with the X540Ri. The music is transferred to the X540Ri. Stop
the music playback on the Bluetooth
®
source to interrupt the streaming. You can use the X540Ri as a wired headphone without
Bluetooth
®
function with the 3.5mm jack cable that is included in the package content. For that purpose connect the cable with the
X540Ri and the desired device and start music playback.
Note:
The X540Ri supports different audio codecs for audio playback. We recommend the use of the
high-de
fi
nition aptX
®
codec for best possible sound experience. Check your device manual if you are
unsure what codecs are supported by your mobile phone. For music playback through wired connection
the X540Ri must not be switched on.
Music control
To play or stop music playback, brie

y press the multifunction button.
To skip to the previous track, press the previous track button.
To skip to the next track, press the next track button.
Note:
The mobile phone must support the A2DP and AVRCP pro

le for music streaming and control.
The buttons have no function when using the wired connection. Use the audio source to control the music and volume.
Hands-free features
With its built-in microphone and intelligent noise reduction, the X540Ri is perfectly suitable for phone calls.
Answer/end/reject calls
To accept an incoming call, brie

y press the multifunction button.
To end a call in progress, brie

y press the multifunction button.
To reject incoming calls, press and hold the multifunction button for 2 seconds.
Redial
Press and hold the volume - button for 3 seconds to redial the last dialled number.
Voice control
Press the multifunction button twice to activate the voice control of the mobile phone. Pronounce the desired command.
Note:
To use voice control, your mobile phone must support this function.
Microphone mute
To mute the microphone during an ongoing conversation, press and hold the volume - button for 3 seconds. Repeat the process to
cancel the mute function.
Transfer call between X540Ri and mobile phone
During a call, press and hold the multifunction key for about 2 seconds to transfer the conversation between X540Ri and the mobi-
le phone back and forth. Repeat the process to return the call to X540Ri.
Note: Please note that your mobile phone must support the call transfer feature. If you cannot return to the call from the headset,
please use the mobile phone.
Volume setting
To increase the volume, press the button until the desired volume is reached.
To decrease the volume, press the volume - button until the desired volume is reached.
