The kite will now spin around. As
soon as the leading edge of the kite
points up let go of the remaining
leader line and put your hand back
on the bar. Depower the kite till its
back in the sky towards the zenith.
Tip:
The reverse launch is the recom-
mended relaunch method when kite-
landboarding, because this extends the
durability and has the least effect on
the kite‘s materials. Product damage by
misuse (e.g. multiple relaunches by using
1 Steering Line on a very hard surface) is
not included in the Free-Repair warranty.
07.02 Relaunch with one line
In high winds the Speed4 Lotus
can be relaunched by pulling only
one steering line.
Grab the green leader line with your
right hand (or the red with your left
hand) high above the floater. This way
the bar will be the right way up after
the kite relaunches. Pull back the leader
far enough towards you so that the kite
starts to peel to the side you are pulling.
Let go of the leader line as soon
as the kite peels off the water.
Grab the bar and keep it depowe-
red until the kite is flying again.
