2.3 Information on the individual setting parameters
Nominal torque value (W):
In automatic operation, this parameter defines which torque shall activate the control.
By changing the differential speed, the automatic control constantly tries to operate the
machine at this torque. If the torque is rising, the differential speed will be increased and
vice versa.
The nominal torque value is set in percent of the available drive torque. It is to be set to
such a value as is required by the separation task.
As a rule, a higher torque results in a lower residual moisture content of the solids.
MIN output signal (Y min):
With this parameter, the minimum differential speed is defined which still enables the
operation of the scroll drive.
If the current torque is lower than the nominal torque value (W), the scroll drive will be
set to the minimum differential speed (e.g. when starting the machine).
This parameter is to be entered in percent, the resulting minimum differential speed can
be read off the speed display.
Set the MIN output signal (Y min) sufficiently small to ensure a quick torque build-up
when starting the machine.
MAX output signal (Y max):
With this parameter, it is possible to enter the maximum differential speed to which the
controller can increase the differential speed.
The automatic differential speed adjustment by the controller takes place within the
limiting values (Y min) and (Y max).
