Hedge trimmer safety
warnings
• Keep all parts of the body away from
the cutter blade. Do not remove cut

• Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle
with the cutter blade stopped. When
transporting or storing the hedge trim-

Assembling the
Long-Handled Hedge
Trimmer
Pull out the power plug before car-
rying out any work on the equip-
ment.
Use only original parts.
1. Unpack the device and check it
for completeness.

2. Remove the covering cap (21)
from the front extension arm (8).
Push the front extension arm of
the long-handled hedge trimmer
on to the tubular shaft of the
long-handled hedge trimmer
with a slight twisting motion. The
safety button (9) locks into place.
Fix the two tubular elements in
place with the rotary knob (10).
To do this, unscrew the nut of
the threaded rod of the rotary
knob (10) and insert it sideways
into the retainer of the tubular
shaft. Insert the threaded rod of
the rotary knob (10) through the
tubular shaft and screw on the
rotary knob (10) with the nut.
