Bag D Transmission and gear differential
Install (4) .085x.600” pins as shown
Slide (4) silver 14t gears onto pins (Note; they will
be at different heights)
Install (2) black outdrive gears into housing, there is
a short pin that goes between the outdrive gears to
align them
Liberally lube the gear diff with synthetic grease and
secure the diff cover with (4) 2x6mm FHS, do not
overtighten.
Install (4) 5x11x4mm bearings into case and two of
the same bearings into the idler gear.
Install a top shaft shim onto each side of gear on
shaft prior to installing it into the case. It protrudes
from the Right side of the car
Next install the diff and idler gear before applying a
small amount of grease to the teeth of all gears and
fastening case halves and motor mount together
with (3) 4-40x1” FHS and (1) 4-40x3/4” BHS
Install roll pin through top shaft and mount slipper
eliminator in place using supplied 4-40 set screws
Use threaded pins to secure outdrives to output
shafts. (longer outdrive goes on Right side of trans-
mission
Slide the transmission brace through its opening in
the rear shock tower, (You will not be able to get it
in place once the transmission has been mounted
Mount the transmission using (4) 4-40x 5/16” FHS
screws
