Note
If it is necessary to use a right-hand
valve construction in the left-hand posi-
tion, it is possible to mount the valve in
the left-hand position. Refer to figure 7,
or contact your Fisher Controls sales
office or sales representative for assis-
tance.
Determining Open Position
The valve must be removed from the pipeline to check
the position of the V-notch ball.
1. Rotate the V-notch ball to the open position. The
open position of the V-notch ball is shown in figure 8.
2. Adjust the actuator linkage until the open position is
obtained using the appropriate actuator instruction
manual procedures.
3. Stroke the valve to the closed position.
Make sure the actuator does not stroke the ball more
than 90 degrees when rotating to the closed position
(see figure 8).
A serial number is assigned to each valve and
stamped on the nameplate. Always refer to the valve
serial number when corresponding with your Fisher
Controls sales office or sales representative regarding
spare parts or technical information. When ordering
replacement parts, also specify the complete 11-char-
acter part number from the parts list information.
