• Place a cap nut into the cupped end of the cap nut
assembly tool.
• Hold the cap nut against one end of the rear door hinge
pin and tap the end of the cap nut assembly tool with a
hammer to secure the cap nut on the end of the hinge pin.
Helpful Hint! The rear door hinge pin is the longer of the two
straight rods. You may want to position the end of the hinge
pin on a scrap block of wood to protect the assembly surface.
Assembly
• Position the vehicle body upright.
• Fit the hooks on the front roof supports into the openings
in the vehicle body
.
• Align the tab on the side roof support with the slot in the
vehicle body
.
• Press firmly on the roof directly above the side support to
snap it into the vehicle body

Note: You may need the help of another adult to complete
assembly steps 7 and 8.
• Position the vehicle body to stand on its front end.
• Fit the rear door to the vehicle body. Align the hinge line
holes in the rear door with the hinge line holes in the
vehicle body.
• Insert the rear door hinge pin up through the hole in the
vehicle body and into the rear door; through the rear door
and into the roof; and out through the hole in the top of
the roof.
Helpful Hint! You may need to open and close the rear door
to align the hinge line as you’re inserting the rear door hinge
pin through the vehicle body, rear door and roof. Once you’ve
aligned the end of the hinge pin with the hole in the top of
the roof, tap the cap nut end of the hinge pin with a hammer
to drive the hinge pin out through the hole in the roof.
