• This fireplace must be
installed by a qualified
installer. Installation
instructions are shipped
inside the fireplace and
must be strictly adhered
to.
• Contact your local
building officials to obtain
a permit and information
on installation restrictions
or inspection
requirements in your
area. Notify your
insurance company of
this fireplace.
• This fireplace is designed
and listed for cord wood
only. Burning of any
other material will void
the warranty and listing
and may create a fire
hazard.
• Do not store gasoline or
other flammables near
the fireplace. Do not use
gasoline or other
flammable liquids to start
or invigorate a fire.
• The door(s) must be
closed and latched during
operation. Open the
door(s) only when re-
loading the fireplace or
conducting maintenance.
This prevents smoke,
embers from entering the
room.
• Do not touch the hot
surfaces of the fireplace.
Educate all children of the
danger of a high-
temperature fireplace.
Young children should be
supervised when they are
in the same room as the
fireplace.
• Ashes must be disposed
of in a metal container
with a tight fitting lid.
Place the container on a
non-combustible surface
until the ashes have fully
cooled before final
disposal.
• Keep all furniture or other
combustible items at least
36" away from the front of
the fireplace (this
includes drapes or doors
that may swing within 36"
of the front of fireplace).
• If you smell smoke, see
the section "Smoke Smell
in Home" on page 13 of
this manual for a remedy.
• Do not place clothing or
other flammable items on
or near the fireplace.
• Never block free airflow
through the vents.
