When converting Burners to LP gas the main burner orifice must be kept a minimum of 6-inches away from the burner
connection (nipple) to prevent any back pressure at the LP orifice. See Fig. 11 below for details.
Note
: It is acceptable to
install a 90° elbow, if necessary, to run the gas line the opposite direction (see Fig 12). A 90° elbow is not provided with
the kit.
All NPT pipe threads must be sealed with approved gas Teflon tape or pipe compound.
Check for any gas leaks before presuming normal operation after conversion is complete.
CAUTION:
Ensure there is ventilation under the burner to provide fresh air for air shutter/orifice.
