FUEL FILLER CAP – fig. 103
To refuel, if your car has central locking,
unlock the doors, open the flap
A
and un-
screw the cap
B
; the cap is fitted with a
special device
C
which fastens it to the flap
so that it cannot be mislaid.
If your car does not have a central lock-
ing, operate lever
A-fig. 104
to release
the flap.
In some versions, the cap
B
may be pro-
vided with a lock and key; use the igni-
tion key to access the flap
A-fig. 100
,
turn it counterclockwise and unscrew the
cap itself.
The sealing may cause a slight pressure in-
crease in the tank. A little breathing off,
while slackening the cap is absolutely nor-
mal.

Do not bring naked flames
or lit cigarettes near to the
fuel tank opening: fire risk. Keep your

When refuelling, hook the cap onto the
device inside the lid as shown in
fig. 103
.
Under normal operating con-
ditions, the catalytic con-
verter becomes very hot. Do not park
the car on grass, dry leaves, pine nee-
dles or other flammable material: fire
