4 Applications

CAUTION

Not for use on wood!

The machine is only suitable for cutting pres-

sure-resistant insulation.

Various types of chains allow you to select the

right tool for cutting pressure-resistant insula-
tions of any density.

4.1 Description

The IS 330 EB insulation saw is intended for cut-
ting insulation made of wood fi bre and polyure-
thane foam. The machine can make rectangu-
lar cuts and adjustable angle cuts to a depth of
330 mm. A cutting angle as large as 60° can be
set quickly and precisely using two tilting seg-
ments and a clearly legible bevel indicator. The
machine is equipped with a pull-out guide ruler
that can be placed on either side of the runner
and guarantees a straight, accurate cut.
The guide bar can be quickly tilted back 10°. Chain
tension can be comfortably adjusted using a wheel
that is easily accessible from the main handle. A
suitably shaped port for routing away sawdust
keeps the machine clear and can be attached to
a suction hose. During cutting, the chain receives
optimal lubrication from the oil feed pump. Once
turned on, the motor runs smoothly up to maxi-
mum RPM, thanks to an electronic control unit.
The motor is electronically protected. In the event

of an accidental overload, it switches off automati-
cally. If overloaded for a longer period, it switches
to “cooling mode”, during which the machine runs
at a low cooling RPM, and once cooled, it returns
to the normal operating mode. When the machine
is turned off, an electric brake activates, which
signifi cantly shortens the machine’s run-down
time. Depending on the usage, this run-down time
may vary considerably.

4.2 Tool

properties

The insulation saw is designed for cutting insu-
lation material. The machine is operated by a
person who holds and guides it using designated
handles; the basic grip is by the front auxiliary
handle and the main handle. Holding the rear aux-
iliary handle is only permitted if there is no danger
of kickback. Any other usage of this machine is
considered improper. The machine is not designed
for cutting wood, felling trees or trimming trees
and bushes. The manufacturer of the machine is
not responsible for any damages caused by its im-
proper use. Risks associated with such use of the
machine are borne solely by the user. The speci-
fi ed use of the machine also includes conform-
ing to the operational, maintenance and repair
conditions prescribed by the manufacturer. This
machine must not be operated by people under
16 years of age.

5 Safety

instructions

 DANGER

All applicable rules concerning work safety, the
safety guidelines stated in the chapter Safety
Instructions, and all other generally applicable
health and work principles must be adhered to
without exception. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damages caused by unauthorised altera-
tions to this machine.

5.1

General safety instructions

WARNING! Read all safety warnings and
all instructions.

Failure to follow the warn-

ings and instructions may result in electric shock,
fi re and/or serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.

The term „power tool“ in the warnings refers to
