ellery, bracelets, watches, etc., that may get
caught in the moving parts. For work in an open
area we recommend wearing rubber gloves
and work boots with anti-slip soles. If your hair
is long, protect it with a net.
- Use only those accessories or special equip-
ment that are offered for the machine by the
manufacturer.
- All repairs must be performed only by an au-
thorised service centre by properly qualified
personnel, using original replacement parts.
The warranty does not cover any damages
caused by the use of any inappropriate parts.
5.3
Residual risks
Even if the machine is used to specification and
all relevant safety regulations are followed, the
following residual safety risks may nonetheless
occur due to the design of the machine and its
usage:
- Injury from the cutting teeth when replacing
the chain.
- Injury from touching the chain on its cutting
area.
- Catching clothes in the moving chain.
- Injury from flying scraps or parts of the ma-
chine.
- Danger that may be caused by the portable
cord.
- Kickback caused by the chain or the operating
the tip of the plate jamming.
- Concentration of sawdust jeopardising health
in poorly ventilated areas.
- Injury from touching electrically charged parts
when dismantling the machine or any part of it
while the machine is still plugged in.
- Hearing damage from prolonged work without
ear protectors.
5.4
Emission levels
Measured values determined according to
EN 60745.
Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the tool
are:
Sound pressure level:
L
PA
= 91 db (A)
Sound power level:
L
WA
= 102 db (A)
Uncertainty
K = 3 db
CAUTION
Operating noise
Damage to hearing
f
Use ear protection!
Vibration emission value a
h
(vector sum for three
directions) and uncertainty K measured in accord-
ance with EN 60745:
The typical hand-arm vibration is
a
h
= 3 m/s
2
Uncertainty
K = 2 m/s
2
The specified emissions values (vibration, noise)
- are used to compare machines.
- They are also used for making preliminary es-
timates regarding vibration and noise loads
during operation.
- They represent the primary applications of the
power tool.
Increase possible for other applications, with oth-
er insertion tools or if not maintained adequately.
Take note of idling and downtimes of machine!

Transport and delivery
The IS 330 EB insulation saw has been tested and
is delivered in perfect condition. The oil reservoir
of the machine IS 330 EB is not filled. When the
machine is delivered, take it directly out of the
packaging and check for potential damage during
transport. Any damage caused during transport
must be reported to the carrier immediately.
6.1 Storage
The packed insulation saw can be stored in a
dry storage area without a heating, where the
temperature does not drop bellow −5 °C. Store
the unpacked saw only in a dry closed storage
where the temperature does not drop below +5
°C, and where sudden temperature changes are
prevented.
7 Adjustment
CAUTION
f
All adjustments and settings must be carried
out before the machine is switched on.
WARNING
Risk of accident, electric shock
f
Always pull the plug out of the socket before
performing any type of work on the machine.
7.1
Tilting the guide bar lengthwise
The guide bar, including the guard plate, can be tilt-
ed 10° backward. This adjustment is mainly used
when multiple layers are cut at the same time. It
prevents resistance to the tool and an uneven cut.
