11.2Replacing the parts of the sandblaster
11.2.1
Replacing the sandblast gun nozzle
Accidents
Disconnect the compressed air tube from the machine body, before replacing the gun nozzle.
To replace the nozzles, proceed as follows:
Unscrew the locking grub screw from the gun and extract the head with the brushes.
Remove the nozzle that is damaged or has a diameter that is not appropriate for
processing, extracting it from the gun.
Clean inside of the barrel of the gun to remove residue of sand.
Insert the new nozzle and tighten the ring nut again.
11.2.2
Cleaning / Replacing the filter
Suction of the abrasive
If the abrasive particles (micro-spheres) reach the fan and/or the motor it could
damage them irreparably and in any event significantly reduce the life of your machine.
Frequently clean the suction filter and replace it when necessary!
Accidents
Disconnect the compressed air tube from the gun and disconnect the power cord from the wall
outlet before cleaning / replacing the air filter.
1. Unhook the closing hook that secures the lid / vacuum.
2. Lift the lid / vacuum using the special handle and open it completely
3. Remove the filter unit from its housing
4. Unscrew the nut that connects the filter to the plate.
Working with compressed air
Clean the filter with compressed air.
ALWAYS wear safety glasses when working with compressed air.
Always direct the jet of compressed air downwards.
5. Replace the cleaned filter, or a new filter by inserting it into the vacuum assembly. Re-
screw the fastening nut of the filter and put it back in its housing.
6. Close the lid / vacuum on the sandblaster drum and secure it with the relative hook.
