3. INSTALLATION
To install and run the boiler properly, you need to bear in mind the following basic points:
The characteristics and size of the boiler room must comply with current regulations.
The plumbing installation, whether open or closed, must include all the necessary safety elements required by
these regulations.
The chimney must be airtight, well insulated and of adequate cross-section for the capacity of the boiler: the
diameter of the flue must not be less than that of the connection on the boiler smoke chamber. For flues with
a square or rectangular cross-section, the internal cross-section must be increased by 10% over that of the
connection on the smoke chamber.
For boiler installation please follow this procedure:
1. Remove boiler from packing.
2. Mount the thermostat control.
3. Connect delivery and return connections to heating system.
4. Mount the flue gas adjustment valve "M" and connect boiler to thee chinney.
5. Adjust the air inlet shutter adjustment screw so that with the shutter resting there is still in any case an air
passage of approximately 1 to 2 mm at the most. With boiler cold, set the thermostat control H to 60° and
hook the chain of the thermostat control H onto the eyelet of the air inlet shutter, set the chain lenght so
that the air passage "L" is about 15 mm for coke III and 2 mm for wood (see fig. 4).
To install optional safety overheating kit:
1. Connect the safety valve "P" to the inlet safety coil "N". Insert probe of safety valve into "a5" sheat con-
nection (fig. 2). Connect safety coil input to water supply. Connect safety valve to water output.
