3. The sprayer
draws up paint
but the pressure
drops when the
gun is triggered.
3.1 The spray tip (14) is worn.
3.2 The suction pipe filter (8) is
clogged.
3.3 The gun filter is plugged.
3.4 The paint is too heavy or
coarse.
3.5 The suction pipe inlet port
(4) is damaged or worn.
3.6 The suction pipe (7) is loose.
3.1 Replace the spray tip (14)
with a new tip.
3.2 Clean the suction pipe filter
(8).
3.3 Clean or replace the proper
filter. Always keep extra filters
on hand.
3.4 Thin or strain the paint.
3.5 Replace the inlet valve (not
supplied).
3.6 Tighten the suction pipe (7).
4. The PRIME/
SPRAY switch
(2) is on SPRAY
and there is flow
through the
return tube.
4.1 The PRIME/SPRAY switch (2)
is dirty or worn.
4.1 Take sprayer to Authorized
Service Center.
5. The spray gun
leaks.
5.1 Internal parts of the gun are
worn or dirty.
5.2 Take the sprayer to a
Authorized Service Center.
6. The tip guard
assembly leaks.
6.1 The tip was assembled
incorrectly.
6.2 The washer is worn.
6.1 Check the tip assembly and
assemble properly
6.2 Replace the washer (not
supplied).
7. The spray gun
will not spray.
7.1 The spray tip (14) or the gun
filter is plugged.
7.2 The spray tip (14) is not fully
in the SPRAY position.
7.1 Clean the spray tip (14) or
gun filter.
7.2 Put the tip (14) in the SPRAY
position.
8. The paint
pattern is tailing.
8.1 The pressure is set too low.
8.2 The gun or the suction pipe
filter (8) is plugged.
8.3 The suction pipe (7) is loose
at the suction pipe inlet port (4).
8.4 The spray tip (14) is worn.
8.5 The paint is too thick.
8.6 Pressure loss.
8.1 Increase the pressure.
8.2 Clean the filters.
8.3 Tighten the suction pipe (7)
fitting.
8.4 Replace the spray tip (14).
8.5 Thin the paint.
