Mini Cot
4.5 restraint brackets and restraints
Always use restraints to secure the body on the cot.

A set of two Ferno
●
®
Model 430-P Restraints is supplied
with the Mini Cot (Figure 8). Each adjustable two-
piece restraint is five feet long.
Use additional and/or longer restraints (not included)
●
as needed to secure the body on the cot.
The cot is equipped with four restraint brackets; two
●
are mounted on the underside of the platform on each
side of the cot (Figure 8).
Attach the restraints to the brackets according to
instructions in the restraint users' manual supplied
with the restraints.

4.4 Identification and Safety Guide Label
The identification and safety-guide label is located at the operator end of the cot. It provides operators with important
reminders
about cot operation (see Figure 7).
This label is NOT intended to provide complete instructions for loading the cot into, and unloading it from, a vehicle and
it is NOT a substitute for reading this manual and practicing with the cot before using it in service.

When loading
the cot,
press the red
release lever
to extend the
loading-wheel
assembly.
Disengage the
safety lock to
allow the cot
legs to fold.
Squeezing the
right control
handle allows
the front legs
to fold.
Squeezing the
left control
handle allows
the rear legs to
fold.
When unloading
the cot, unfold
the rear legs,
then extend the
loading-wheel
assembly.
DO NOT
squeeze the leg-
control handles.
