4.3 User registration in 1:1 mode
In 1:1 mode, Mifare cards can be programmed with fingerprint templates only within AC-MAX
HW software according to the following procedure:
1.
After establishing the connection with AC-MAX Fingerprint READER in the top menu of the
AC-MAX HW software, select the
Card Scheduler command
and then the Card
Format tab.
2.
Click the Format button
and place
the Mifare card near the reader for approximately 10
seconds, until the Formatted Card
correctly message appears.
3.
Select the
Fingerprint Template tab,
and then select the Save Template button
to
start
the wizard.
4.
Follow according to the displayed messages.
5.
In AC-MAX software, register the user with the Add An Online Person Wizard by assigning
a card number with a pre-programmed fingerprint template.
6.
Upload the configuration to the controller.
Note: In 1:1 mode do not set the FPAC-MAX FingerPrint READER in AC-MAX software, and do
not assign
users no fingerprint template in AC-MAX software.

4.3.1 Master's Authorization
In the last window of the card scheduling wizard it is possible to select the User
with Master
Authorization
option.
The user with this card does not have to scan the fingerprints when
identified in readers with the Accept Master Authorization
option
enabled (fig. 7). This
authorization is not related to the
Master
Waiver,
which can be assigned to the user in ac-MAX
software.
Note: Mifare cards have different capabilities. Mifare Classic 1k cards can store a fingerprint
template. Mifare Ultralight cards do not have enough memory to store any fingerprint template.
4.4 User ID
The identification of the user using the FPAC-MAX FINGERPRINT READER depends on the
recognition mode selected (section 4. 1.2), input with function
[5]: Card Reader Mode
and
Card
Reader Mode option
(fig. 7). Input [5] is used for dynamic switching of the user
identification method. In Table 6 below you can find more information about applying the input
with the [5] function. The Card
Reading Mode option is
applicable only for 1:N recognition
mode and allows permanent activation of the FPAC-MAX FINGERPRINT READER card reader.
When this option is selected, the user can be identified by cards or fingerprint templates, as
needed.
The ac-MAX HW options and functions allow for detailed and variable configuration of the user
identification method. But you can distinguish the following settings that are most commonly
applied:
•
1:N recognition mode, input [5] is not used, card reading mode
option
disabled: the user
is only identified by fingerprint templates recorded in the memory of the FPAC-MAX FINGERPRINT
READER
•
1:N recognition mode, input [5] is not used,
the Card Reading Mode option
is enabled: the
user can be identified by the fingerprint template recorded in the memory of the FPAC-MAX
FINGERPRINT READER or by their Mifare card, as needed
