Charge / Off / Start
The product can be used as battery charger
“CHARGE” (I) and jump starter “START” (II).
Choose the correct modes with the switch (3
positions) at the right side on the front panel.
When the switch is in the middle position “OFF”
(0) the charger is switched off (Fig. 2).
6V / 12V
The battery charger can charge batteries of
6V and 12V. For this purpose push the switch
at the right side of the front panel in chosen
position.
Charge / Start
Choose the correct modes with the switch (2
positions) in the middle on the front panel.
Select current
Select the current 2A / 6A / 12A of the charger
to the positions corresponding to the voltage
and capacity of the charged storage battery.
Charge indicate
The 4 red lights on the left side on the front
panel indicate the levels of estimated battery
capacity (25%, 50%, 75%, FULL).
reverse
The red light indicates that the battery charger
is not connected correctly to the battery: the
clamps have to be exchanged (red clamp on +
and black clamp on -).
Charging process
• Connect the clamps correctly to the battery
and connect the plug to the mains.
• Select the voltage 6V / 12V switch
• Select the “CHARGE” modus (2 position
switch)
• Turn the power switch on “CHARGE”
position
• The charging current is now visible on the
display on the front. This current meter is
not a precision instrument and only gives a
rough indication of the charging current.
• During the charging process the charging
indicator (4 red lights) gives information
about the estimated battery capacity. When
the “FULL” indicating light goes on, the
charging is complete.
• Switch the power switch to the “OFF”
position and disconnect from the mains
supply.
• Remove the clamps from the + and - poles
of the battery.
Jump starting process
• Charge the battery for 10-15 minutes
according the steps above.
• Turn the power switch to “START” position
• Select the “START” modus (2 position
switch)
• Start the automobile immediately
In this position the charger is able to operate
for a brief period in an over-current mode of
operation.
Warning!
Do not crank the engine > 5 sec.
Wait approximately 100 sec. between
starting attempts
Do not attempt to start more than
3 times. If three attempts fail, the
vehicle’s battery should be recharged
fully.
Trouble shooting
1. No charging current
• Bad contact of power socket
• Contact qualified electrician
• Select Voltage 6V / 12V is set incorrectly
• Select correct voltage position
• Initial voltage is too low
• Change battery
• + and - poles of battery are oxidized and/or
dirty
• Clean poles
• Battery has been damaged
• Replace the battery
2. Low charging current
• + and - poles of battery are oxidized and/or
dirty
• Clean poles
• Battery is charged fully
• Measure specific gravity
3. excessive transformer noise
• Select Voltage 6V / 12V is set incorrectly
• Select correct voltage position
• Unstable position
• Change position for proper placement
