Specific safety instructions
•
Contact or inhalation of dust coming free during sanding (e.g. lead painted surfaces,
woods and metals), can endanger the health of operator and bystanders. Always wear
appropriate personal equipment as a dust mask and use the dust bag during sanding.
•
Check that the switch is not in the “ON” position before connecting the machine to the
mains voltage.
•
Always keep away the mains lead from moving parts of the machine.
•
When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a
secure stance.
•
Use safety glasses, especially when sanding above your head.
Immediately switch off the machine when:
•
Excessive sparking of the carbon brushes and verticiliosis in the collector.
•
Interruption of the mains plug, mains lead or mains lead damage.
•
Defect switch
•
Smoke or stench of scorched isolation
Electrical safety
When using electric machines always observe the safety regulations applicable in your country
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Read the following safety
instructions and also the enclosed safety instructions.
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
Class II machine – Double insulation – You don’t need any earthed plug.
Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs when they have been replaced by new ones. It is
dangerous to insert the plug of a loose cable in the wall outlet.
Using extension cables
Only use an approved extension cable suitable for the power input of the machine. The
minimum conductor size is 1.5 mm

. When using a cable reel always unwind the reel
completely.
3. ASSEMBLY

The sander has been carried out with a dust bag (3) to keep the working surface clean. The dust
bag must be installed on the back side of the machine, on the opening. It is necessary to empty
the dust bag regularly for an efficient use.

Empuñaduras
La máquina lijadora está equipada con dos empuñaduras: una empuñadura en la parte frontal
y una en la parte trasera.
Sostenga siempre las empuñaduras con ambas manos para obtener el mejor control posible
sobre su trabajo de lijado. Además, de esta forma evita el riesgo de entrar en contacto con las
partes en movimiento.
Consejos para el operador

Para obtener los mejores resultados posibles, haga movimientos largos y uniformes.
•
La calidad de la superficie después del lijado depende del calibre del papel de lija
seleccionado.
5. SERVICIO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Antes de cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento o limpieza saque siempre el enchufe
de la caja de corriente (enchufe de pared). No utilice nunca agua u otros líquidos
para limpiar las partes eléctricas de su pulidora.
Los aparatos de Ferax han sido diseñados para funcionar correctamente durante un largo
periodo de tiempo necesitando un mantenimiento mínimo. Manteniendo limpio el aparato y
usándolo correctamente, conseguirá alargar la vida útil de los aparatos.
Fallos
Acontinuación se indican varias posibles causas y soluciones si la máquina no funciona
correctamente:
Las reparaciones y trabajos de mantenimiento deben realizarlas técnicos
cualificados o una compañía de servicios.
Limpieza
Limpie regularmente el aparato con un paño, preferentemente después de cada uso.
Asegúrese de que las rejillas de ventilación no posean partículas de polvo ni suciedad. Si
hubiera suciedad incrustada, utilice un paño humedecido con agua y jabón. No utilice jamás
materiales disolventes tales como gasolina, alcohol, amoniaco, etc. Dichos productos podrían
dañar el plástico de diferentes piezas del aparato.
• El motor eléctrico se calienta:
• La máquina no extrae el polvo:
• El papel de lija está lleno de adhesivo,
pintura u otro material similar:
• Limpie los orificios de ventilación.
• La bolsa para el polvo está llena; vacíela.
• La pintura o el adhesivo aún no están
secos.
• Algunas pinturas se pegan más al papel de
lija que otras. Limpie el papel a intervalos
regulares.
