Pickup is picking up a large amount of dirt and stones.
Cause(s)
Solution(s)
Pickup is running too fast.
Slow the pickup down so the pickup is pushing the
swath a small amount.
Pickup teeth are set too low.
Adjust the wheels so the teeth are 25 mm (1 in) off
the ground
Crop material stalls on the header before the auger pulls the material into the feeder house.

Solution(s)
Rough header table surface.
Polish the header pan. Use emery cloth or a buffing
wheel if necessary.
Header height too high or too low.
Adjust the header height to 300 mm (12 in)
measured from the ground to the center of the rear
draper roller.
Lateral tilt not set correctly.
If equipped, Adjust the combine header tilt so the
header floor pan and the ground are parallel with
each other.
Draper belts roll up one side of the frame.
Cause(s)
Solution(s)
Belts are adjusted to tightly.
Adjust the draper belt tension.
Belts are not adjusted the same on each side.
Adjust the draper belt tension on each side the
same.
Dirt or crop material in the rollers.
Remove the draper belts from the machine and
remove foreign material.
Belts are sticky when new.
Apply talcum powder or baby powder to the belts to
decrease stickiness.
Belts stalling when loaded with crop material.

Draper belts are too loose.
Increase the belt tension.
Delay between the master cylinder and the slave cylinder.

Air in the system.
Bleed the cylinders.
