Clean and polish the instrument. |
Once or twice a year you should
carefullycleanandpolishyourguitar’sbody.Werecommendusingoneofthe
FenderCustomShopcleaningandpolishingproductslistedonthenextpage.
Whenpolishingmakesureyouavoidproductsthatcontaind-Limonene,alcohol,
solventsorsilicone.Allofthesesubstanceswilldamageyourinstrument’s
finishandothercomponentsovertime—alcoholandsiliconewillcausethe
finishtobecomecloudyorhazy,andd-Limoneneandothersolventscanbreak
downthefinishandcausethewoodaroundthefretstocrackordeteriorate.

Once or twice a year, or every three months if
playingoften,youshouldconditionyourinstrument’sfingerboardtohelp
replenishitsnaturaloils,extendingthelifeofyourinstrument.Werecommend
usingFenderCustomShopFingerboardRemedy,asolvent-andalcohol-free
combinationofbeeswaxandcitrusthatliftsdirtandgreasefromfingerboards
andiscompatiblewithallfinishes.
