Remove/Replace PC Board
The PC board is located at the right side of the cabinet shelf. It rests on a
support base that is attached to the cabinet shelf. Some of the wires leading to
various components are hard-wired to the board, others such as the basket full
sensor and the operator panel cable, can be disconnected from the board or the
component.
If a component that is hard wired to the board fails, the entire PC board must be
replaced. Before replacing the PC board, disconnect the wires (that are not hard-
wired) from the PC board, components, and sensors.
Note: Make sure the shredder is unplugged from the electrical outlet.
1
Disconnect the 2 power wires (red and black) from the disconnect
switch (see wiring diagram).
2
Disconnect the 3 motor wires from the PC board.
3
Disconnect the black and blue wire tabs from the capacitor and remove
them from the wire guides.
4
Disconnect the basket full sensor wire connector from the PC board.
5
Remove the 4 screws that hold the PC board to the cabinet shelf, and
remove the PC board.
6
Set the PC board aside. Be careful as some of the wires are hard wired
to the PC board. Do not break these connections if the board is not
being replaced.
