Mechancal Problems
Mechanical problems can often be identified by listening to the sound of
the machine when it is operating and observing whether the paper cutting
capacity drops.
If a confetti-cut machine is making excessive noise, it may need to be
lubricated. Try oiling the cutting shafts. To do this, apply the lubricating oil
through the paper entry slot on the cover. Run the cutting system forward
and backward several times without feeding paper. Then feed paper through
the shredder. See the Lubrication instructions in the General Maintenance
section of this manual for additional instructions.
If these simple solutions do not solve the problem, use the troubleshooting
flowcharts to help identify and solve the problem.
