5. Make sure that the tube and cap has no
leaks.

Connect the “in” tubing to the intake port
on the instrument.
7. To use the buffer bottle, make sure that
the tubing is clear from obstruction.
Connect the In tubing to the unit. Place
the buffer bottle in a location that has
stable CO
2
concentration (away from
operator, cars, furnace, photosynthesizing
plants). Here, ambient air CO
2
levels
should be approximately 400 ppm.
