The speed set is shown by the symbols on the
speed display (3):
The last speed setting used is stored in the
power tool after stopping the motor or after
pulling out the mains plug from the mains
socket.
The speed can be preset when the mains plug is
inserted, also when the motor is at a standstill.
Operation (Figure 10).
➤
Only keep
one
of the 4 pressing sur-
faces permanently pressed. The angle
grinder remains at working speed.
Please note:
The pressing surfaces are easily
accessible to avoid having to work in a cramped
position. It is possible to change one’s working
position at any time by changing the grip. One
must only make sure that the grinding disc does
not come to a standstill. As long as the grinding
disc is still rotating the angle grinder can be
brought to the working speed again by pressing
one of the 4 pressing surfaces (4) once again.
The
self-start prevention lock
prevents the angle
grinder from starting again on its own accord if
the current supply has been interrupted during
operation, even if only for a short time, e.g. by
pulling out the mains plug.
➤
Apply the power tool to the workpiece.
Conduct the mains lead away from the rotat-
ing wheel.
If you lose control over the
power tool, the mains lead could be cut through
or caught, thereby drawing your hand or your
arm into the rotating wheel.
Use a high speed for grinding or cutting
operations.
Do not strain the power tool!
Grinding:
➤
Keep to an angle of tilt of 20 – 40°. In
this way you will obtain a good removal.
➤
Press the power tool on evenly and
move it over the surface.
Do not allow the surface of the workpiece
to become too hot.
Cutting:
➤
Always work against the direction of
rotation so that the cutting wheel does not
jump out of the cut.
Stopping (Figure 10).
➤
Let go of all the pressing surfaces. The
accessory begins to slow down.
Working in the arrested mode (Figure 10).
If 2 or 3 of the pressing surfaces are
briefly
actuated at the front and back at the same
time whilst the angle grinder is running, it will
continue to run without interruption without
having to press one of the pressing surfaces any
further.
➤
Briefly
press one of the 4 pressing sur-
faces to stop the angle grinder. The acces-
sory begins to slow down.
Repair and customer service.
Regular cleaning.
Carry out the following steps once a week, or
more often if used frequently:
➤
Clean the cooling air vents.
Use non-metallic tools to clean the air vents.
➤
Blow out the interior of the power tool
at regular intervals from outside through
the air vents with dry, compressed air.
