4. Operation
ST allows programming and storing of up to 9 “ speaking times ”, as well as timing and displaying the
activated speaking time ( Fig. 4.1 ); it also indicates the counting events by means of sounds and signal
lights.

Timer start: green short
Warning of available time expiry: yellow medium
Timer stop: red long

4.1. What a speaking time is
A “ speaking time ” consists of ( Fig. 4.2 ):
1. the total time assigned for the speech;
2. the time interval to warn the speaker that the available time is about to expire;
3. the behavior at the end of the total time.
