5 System setup
5.1 Reset of BIOS settings to factory defaults and set the module to
transparent mode
If the system fails to boot (e.g. due to an incorrect BIOS configuration or incorrect password), the
settings stored in CMOS can be cleared using the SA1 switch at the bottom of the board - see
Figure 1-3.

The SA1 switch is used to perform the following actions:
Resetting the BIOS Setup to the default settings;
Selecting the location of the BMC Firmware loader: internal/external (via UART).
The SA1 switch positions are described in the table:
