7．Parts Life-spans
Due to the constant frequency of use and degradation of the unit
’
s floor mounted fittings, FV3000 FAST approved parts
are recommended for replacement. There will be a charge for replacing the parts.
The following life-span list is based on the assumed condition such as ambient temperature 40℃, away from other
objects more than 100mm, and no clogged filters.
Hard Disk Drive Expected life-span is about 2 years when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month.
Floppy Disk Drive Expected life-span is about 5 years when not in use at
all. It is about 1 year and 8 months when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month, with cleaning
regularly.
CD-ROM Drive Expected life-span is about 1 year and a half when used
for 24 hours a day and 30 days a month, with cleaning
regularly.
Cabinet Cooling Fan Expected life-span is about 3 years when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month.
CPU Cooling Fan Expected life-span is about 3 years when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month.
Motherboard Expected life-span is about 3 years and a half when used
for 24 hours a day and 30 days a month.
Lithium Battery Expected life-span is about 5 years when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month.
Power Supply Unit Expected life-span is about 3 years when used for 24
hours a day and 30 days a month.
CF Card Number of possible rewrites is 300,000 times.
About Aluminum Electrolytic Condenser
Aluminum electrolytic condenser used in the system also has a limited life expectancy. The expected life-span
is about 5 years when used for 24 hours a day. If it is reaching the end of a life-span, it may cause the depletion
of electrolytic solution and leakage. The leakage of electrolytic solution, in particular, may cause smoke and
electric shock. To avoid those, exchange the whole unit of power supply when reaching the end of life-span.
