Pre-Operation Checklist
Efficient and safe operation of the machine requires that each Operator reads and understands
operating procedures and all related safety precautions outlined in this section. A pre-operational
checklist is provided for the Operator. It is important for both personal safety and maintaining the
good mechanical condition of the Sprayer that this checklist be followed.
Before operating the Sprayer, check the following items:

Lubricate machine per the schedule outlined in the
LUBRICATION and MAINTENANCE
section.

Use only a tractor of adequate power and weight to operate the Sprayer. See the

Be sure that the machine is properly attached to the tractor. Be sure that a mechanical
retainer is installed through the drawbar and that a pin and safety chain are installed.
4.
Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, fittings, and couplers for tightness. See
for break-in period recommendations.

Calibrate the Sprayer if at the start of the season or a new applicator rate is being used.
6.
Check the condition and routing of all fluid hoses and lines. Be sure that all lines are routed
in large arcs. Replace any that are damaged. Re-route those that are rubbed, pinched, or

Clean the line filter(s) and mesh(es).

Replace any plugged nozzles or tubes.

Check that all electrical connections are made and tight.
