STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

UNCOUPLING THE CHIPPER FROM THE TRAC-

TOR

1.  For coupling or uncoupling the chipper,

always turn off the tractor and apply the

parking brake before entering the area bet-

ween the chipper and tractor.

2.  Before disconnecting the hydraulic hoses

from tractor, ensure that the hydraulic sys-

tem is depressurized.

3.  When uncoupling the universal shaft from

the tractor, support the shaft using the hook

provided for it on the chipper. This prevents

the shaft from falling to the ground.

STORAGE OF THE CHIPPER

1.  Clean the chipper after use and before

putting in storage.

2.  Store the chipper in an area where there are

no people. Do not let children play near the

chipper!

3.  Before uncoupling the chipper from the

tractor, park it on level and hard ground.

Take appropriate measures to prevent the

chipper from moving or falling. If neces-

sary, use boards or beams for additional

support.

4.  If the chipper is to be stored for a long

period, lubricate the knives e.g. with petro-

leum jelly.

5.  Take appropriate measures to keep the

water drainage holes on the lower chamber

open.

AFTER STORAGE AND BEFORE USE

1.  Ensure that the feeder device is empty.

2.  Ensure that there is a sufficient amount of oil

 in the hydraulic unit.

MAINTENANCE

MEASURES TO TAKE BEFORE

Before beginning maintenance and repair

1.  Place the chipper onto level and hard

ground and make sure it cannot tip.

2.  Turn off the tractor and disconnect the PTO

drive shaft.

3.  Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the

tractor.

4.  Always lock the rotor before adjusting or

changing the knives.

5.  Always wear protective gloves when

handling knives.

6.  Familiarize yourself with the machine-

specific maintenance and repair instruc-

tions.

In case of doubt, please contact the manufac-

turer.
