SHORTENING THE PTO SHAFT
Connect the device to the tractor.
Measure the distance between the splined
shafts (Distance A)
First cut the thicker shaft shield to the correct
length (1). Remember to leave at least a
40 mm clearance. Then cut a similar length

of the PTO shaft in the same way. File off the
burr.
Interconnect the tubes and check that the
shaft has been shortened enough by moving
the machine gently. Ensure that there is a 40
mm clearance. Also move the machine
sideways to check that the shaft moves freely.
