EN | 16
• Conductors located underground shall be run in conduit of insulating material or else insulated high voltage
cable shall be used. The conductors must be installed so that they cannot be damaged, for example, by animal
hooves or tractor wheels sinking into the ground.
• Fence energiser conductors shall not be installed in the same conduit as mains supply wiring or communication/
data cables.
• Fence energiser conductors and/or its connecting leads shall not cross above overhead power lines or data lines.
• Installation of electric fence conductors near or under overhead power lines shall be avoided. If such a crossing
cannot be avoided, it must be made at right angles to the power line. If electric fence conductors are installed
near an overhead power line, their height above the ground must not exceed 3 m. Next to a power line operat-
ing at a voltage not exceeding 1,000 V, this height restriction applies for a distance of 2 metres from under the
outermost conductor of the power line as measured along the ground surface, and for a power line operating
at a voltage exceeding 1,000V, for a distance of 15 metres, respectively.
• Electric fence conductors must remain at least at the specified distance from an overhead power line:
• Power line voltage up to 1,000V: Minimum distance 3 m
• Power line voltage 1,000V to 33,000V: Minimum distance 4 m
• Power line voltage above 33,000 V: Minimum distance 8 m.
• Electric fences intended for repelling birds, household pets containment, or training of animals such as cows,
need only be supplied from low output electric fence energisers to obtain satisfactory and safe performance.
• In case of electric fences intended for deterring birds from roosting on buildings, no electric fence wire shall be
connected to the energiser earth electrode.. Warning signs shall be fitted to all points where persons may gain
ready access to the fence conductors.
• Where an electric fence crosses a public pathway, a non-electrified gate must be incorporated into the electric
fence at that point or a crossing by means of stiles must be provided. At any such crossing, the adjacent electric
fence wires must carry warning signs.
• All mains-powered ancillary equipment connected to an electric fence must have at least the same level of
insulation between the electric fence and the supply mains as the insulation required from electric fence
energisers (Clauses 14, 16 and 29 of the standard IEC 60335-2-76 and any local amendments, such as those in
the standard EN 60335-2-76, specify the minimum requirement). Do not connect a mains-powered device to
an electric fence unless its operating manual specifically allows so. The equipment must be protected from the
weather, unless intended for outdoor use and complying with at least degree of protection IPX4.
• The above insulation requirement also applies to the charger of a battery-powered electric fence energiser.
Unless otherwise stated in the fence energiser’s or charger’s operating manual, the energiser may not be
connected to the fence while the battery is being charged using a mains-powered charger.
10. Warranty
We grant a three (3) year warranty to the device you have purchased. The warranty covers material and workmaship
defects, as well as overvoltage damage caused by thunder.
The warranty is valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase of the device. The customer must deliver the
defective product to the manufacturer, dealer, or the nearest Olli Service Partner. A warranty claim must be ac-
companied by a description of the defect, the customer’s contact information, and a copy of the purchase receipt
showing the date of purchase of the device. The manufacturer will repair a defective product or replace it with a
new product as soon as possible.
The warranty does not cover defects caused by careless handling, improper installation or use of the device, or oth-
er reasons beyond the control of the manufacturer. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover any consequential
damages directly or indirectly caused by the use of the fence energiser or by the inability to use the fence energiser.
The manufacturer’s warranty liability is limited at most to the purchase price of the product.
11. EU WEEE Statement
According to the WEEE directive 2012/19/EU, this product should not be discarded along with household
waste but instead collected and treated separately as waste electrical and electronic equipment in com-
pliance with local legislation. Discarded batteries must be recycled in accordance with local regulations.
