GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CAMERAS

The new Coolpix S50, S50c, S51, S51c, S52 and S52c

cameras combine exciting

new features with Nikon’s distinctive wave-surface design.

Built on a custom application of Nikon’s innovative EXPEED digital image

processing concept and incorporating the precision optics of a Nikkor lens, the

Coolpix S50, S50c, S51, s51c, S52 and S52c

cameras are built to realize optimum

performance and maximum image quality. The S50 and S50c cameras feature 7.21

effective megapixels, the S51 and S51c cameras feature 8.1 effective megapixels

and the S52 and S52c cameras feature 9.0 effective megapixels. All six models

make use of a bright 3 inch LCD screen, which eases composition and viewing and

a built-in “right-angle” optical lens shift VR (Vibration Reduction) 3x zoom lens to

produce photos with clarity and true-to-life colors. Extended light sensitivity as

high as ISO 1600 prevents blurred shots when shooting in lower light, or when

capturing fast-moving objects, like underwater life. The S50c, S51c and S52c

cameras are also equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities, allowing for wireless and instant

sharing of photos. Face Priority, Red-Eye Fix and D-Lighting are three unique Nikon

innovations which are packed within these new camera models, enabling to

manipulate the images in-camera, making it possible to amateurs to achieve

results that a professional would be proud of. All functions are optimized to

respond immediately, ensures that the user never misses a fleeting opportunity for

a great shot, which is extremely important when shooting underwater fast moving

objects.
